After Clean
One thing I like about this time of year is having more time to take apart the bunnies' room and give it all a proper clean. Being shut out of your own room for half the day though, to avoid a teefs/vacuum-cord incident, is apparently even more tiring than having done the cleaning yourself - they've both been flaked out all evening!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone and everybun! And don't forget, if you feel you've overdone the celebrations, take a leaf out of Anouska's book - there's always time for a quick recovery nap...

After Yawn
Anouska has now yawned right in my face SO many times in the last few months, I can't believe I keep missing it with the camera. SO close today...

Bargain
Watch out for this one, bunnies try it on me all the time...

Twisted
A hot tip for this Xmas: Always keep assembly instructions somewhere safe - you may need to re-assemble in future and without them it is all too easy to get those pieces the wrong way round...
(Does anyone have a 'leg spanner' they can lend me? I think I'm going to have to start this one again from scratch.)

Wall Bounce
So technically we are still on a break from taking carefully planned out photos for the Rabbit 365 Project and frankly even if we weren't I doubt I'd be doing anything proper for it this week anyway because I am probably only a sneeze away from having a complete breakdown remembering what was going on this time last year, but I am still trying to post a random pic of somebun every day.
I've been trying to better my flash-using skills so I've been doing a lot of bouncing flash off the ceiling (rather than pointing it at the bunny and blinding/scaring them) for most of the recent shots. Today I thought I'd try bouncing it off the wall instead. I kind of like some of the 'lit one side of the face' spookiness it produces, but unfortunately I'm so not used to the setup I kept miss-aiming the camera and chopping most of Anouska out of the picture. Ho hum, practise makes perfect. Or an annoyed bunny.

Shrinkage
Every day, I could swear, the floor mats in the bunnies' room look shorter than the day before. I don't know what it could be. Here I walked in to find Anouska looking just as shocked and puzzled over it as I am.
Yes, shocked and puzzled, I'm sure I've read that expression right...

Undeniable Mess
BHV: Yes, technically that is true, because the mess was still there when you got back.

Carrot Treat Cheat
They have been getting a bit suspicious of the photography of late so I tried using carrot sticks to win them back again today.
It sort of worked, though somebun wasn't exactly falling for it enough to come out of his box...

Break
We've gotten a bit lost with the Rabbit 365 Project recently so I am afraid we are taking a break until the new year. Hopefully by then you will all be joining in with your new camera-based Xmas presents, right?! In the mean time, expect to see lots of random photos of Anouska eating parsley!

The Edge of Disappearance
Taking photos of MrB at the moment is quite challenging, even more so than usual, whenever I do photograph him his eyes are generally saying "Really? Cos if you point that thing at me for one second longer I'm off."

Under Parsley
It's a bit of a messy photo, but I don't normally see Anouska from this angle so I quite like it anyway. This was something I would do at the Rescue when I was pressed for time and needed to photograph lots of bunnies in a short space of time - bribery and distraction! I don't usually do it at home, but photo time today happened to coincide with me coming back from the shops with some fresh parsley.
One interesting thing to note is that whereas other bunnies would be up on their back legs snatching the parsley, Anouska is throwing her head right back with all her feet on the floor trying to reach. For the first few minutes after she hauls her frail old body off the floor Anouska struggles with her back and general movement, which I am guessing is what happened here - she was probably napping while I was shopping! Once she gets going, within minutes she turns back into a normal bunny. (She has always been like it, there are no signs of actual pain, just stiffness, so she just gets checked out at the vets at least twice a year and so far they are telling us to just keep an eye on it for any signs of it worsening.)
