I mowed a few strips through the long, nommable grass for bunnies to race about. They did for about 2 seconds. Then they spotted me, 'the medicine giver', and turned immediately grumpy.

"Is he still following us?"

"GO! AWAY!"

I'm not sure I've ever experienced such prolonged disapproval from my own bunnies before. It's turning into a long month.

"Ah, you're here. Now listen up. We had a house meeting and us bunnies have decided that there will be NO MORE bottom or tummy cleaning, or medicines, or else we shall be going on strike and not keeping our room clean."

BHV: Oh dear. Well you've got a nice clean bottom today Anouska (probably because we cut back on the banana we were bribing MrB with), so that's OK, but MrB still has his...problem. So I'm afraid the tummy cleaning and medication will continue. One question though: This lack of keeping your room clean - how will I notice?!

I cannot convey the levels of disapproval at home right now. MrB is on medicine. MrB does not like medicine.

So anyway, instead of my bunnies, here is what is possibly one of my favourite photo "outtakes" ever. Yesterday I tried to take a photo of RRR bunny Cheryl, centred around her beautiful face. In what has to be the best timed interception ever, her sister Rita bounded in to nab any available treat.

Yes, that is her ear, right in the middle. It can be tough being a bunny photographer.

I felt so sad that I got no Sprat cuddles last weekend, when he didn't even want to play with me, that I went back today hoping to find him in a better mood. At least he's talking to me now, but he didn't exactly have nice things to say...

"These aren't the treats I want. Not good enough. And don't expect me to tell you which treats I do want, you will just have to figure it out yourself."

At home, my two resent me following some post-banana bottom cleaning and tummy washing and medicines. The Rescue today was supposed to be a break from bunnies hating me. Ho hum.

You wouldn't believe how many set-up treats I had to give them at random intervals today to have a chance at capturing this "Have you brought banana?" moment (instead of him running away in fear of a tummy bath)...

Things at home are a bit odd this week - MrB has been avoiding me and hasn't even come for dinner since the vet trip on Saturday. He might even be losing weight, though he scoffs breakfast and any treat presented to him. Banana is snatched and devoured instantly. We are keeping an eye on him, but I have a feeling we will be back at the vets again soon. Anyway, upshot: can't take photos.

So here is, give or take some overenthusiastic PS filter, a photo of Sprat's ears from Saturday.

Saturday went like this:- Trip to vets (vaccines and checks, nothing too serious), bunnies grumpy (especially after I failed to adequately secure the carrier on the back seat and took a right turn a little too sharply), came home and put them in the garden, they had fun for about 10 minutes, brought them in after an hour, they were grumpy, went to Rescue, Sprat not talking to me for some reason, sun too bright and bunnies too hot and sleepy for decent photos, came home, my bunnies still grumpy at me, checked photos from the Rescue and found many of them were out of focus. So that was Saturday.

There was no post yesterday because I spent all last night moving furniture and cleaning in their room, a task which involved no small amount of scrubbing and vacuuming.

By the time I'd finished, their room was pristine, and I even made a few minor changes to the layout to keep things interesting for them. (If you re-arrange a bunny's space they will spend the next few hours racing around practising different escape routes from any theoretical danger/claw-clippings that might come in the future.)

It was a long night of hard work but I figured that that would mean they would have a nice clean space to take lots of photographs in this evening - 24 hours later though, what was I thinking??!!

"It was a fun day. We chewed, we pooped, we basically threw anything that was throwable across the floor. We're bunnies, what did you expect?"

Today's effort was my attempt to use just the right angle to make it look like MrB has a nice meadow to play in rather than just our tiny garden.

"Since we've NOT got a big meadow, could we at least plant some carrots in this place?"

Hmmm...I have feeling that if we tried that then the carrots wouldn't have a very long life...for some reason.

I have it on good authority that the recent weather has made the grass "extra nommably nommable" this week. So there you go. That hasn't entirely stopped those grazing reviewers regarding me with some distain for putting them out there on my schedule rather than theirs though...
